Cours Saleya Market

Cours Saleya Market

As I was wandering through the open air Cours Saleya market on a Saturday morning in Nice, France,  picking up our usual weekly groceries from the many and varied local French farmers , I couldn’t fail to notice a fabulously dressed woman enjoying her coffee and croissant  at an outdoor cafe with friends, dressed in the most amazing colors of orange and lime green - she looked absolutely fabulous and I couldn’t resist the opportunity to stop by and tell her so ! Turns out she was a visiting artist from Birmingham, Alabama here to study and continue working on her art at a fabulous old castle called the Chateau de la Napoule- home to aspiring artists and where she was to spend some time on her textile design and art works. I had to photograph her, because as you know at Couture Cashmere we LOVE color and this lady just pulled it all of together wonderfully.

The fabulous Chateau de la Napoule where Erin was invited to work and study alongside other artists from around the world.

Her name is Erin LeAnn Mitchell and you have to check her and her fabulous art out when you have a minute ! We chatted about fashion as she is very obviously a fashionista and loves trends, and we both agreed how these two colors go so well together and how great  it is not to be afraid of wearing bright colors at any age, as they give such an automatic lift to your look and personal style.

The market was a bustle of color itself and where I take a lot  of inspiration when looking for my exclusive, one of a kind finds for Couture Cashmere. Young fashionistas love to tour Old Town Nice and the market and is a great spot to people watch and discover new trends and ideas for my business. LeAnn loved also one of our scarves that I was wearing that day, also a hot mess of color, and we both agreed fashion is fun and should not be something to be afraid of !

LeAnn loved the shawl and made a purchase and I’m looking forward to seeing more of her and her works and learning about color and trends from her artistic background. Hoping also we will stay in touch and our paths may cross at my upcoming show in Atlanta in July - its wonderful to make new friends and find women who share our love of fashion and more importantly our love of textures, fabrics and COLOR!  Couture Cashmere constantly searches for those unique pieces you can’t find at home so we can bring to you these great accessories at great prices and love sharing our finds with you!
