Introducing Couture Cashmere

For many years now we’ve had a small home in the hills of Northern Tuscany where we spent our summer vacations away from the madding crowds and in a place that is full of natural beauty, amazing sunsets and fabulous weather ! When Covid hit and lockdowns began we found ourselves in the south of France where we spent months in complete lockdown and learned how to live on a lot less, very little in the way of clothing or belongings and to eat simply and naturally and generally move away from a lot of things we once considered necessary in our lives. No gyms allowed, no cycling, no eating out, no traveling and very much less involvement with people …it was and still is….an interesting experience !

The sunsets are so incredible I designed a line of silk scarves called Bella Italia with photos taken from our terrace nightly - truly amazing to see how the skies change from night to night and offer such glorious arrays of color and beauty. Mother Nature at its finest  ! 

Before Covid and lockdown,  I had started my small Couture Cashmere business where I once attended 3-4 shows yearly in the USA selling to my wonderful clients and meeting new people all the time. When Covid and lockdown struck, I had to reinvent myself or to use the buzz word du jour - “pivot” and learn how to sell in a very different way than I was used to  - on-line ! I am still learning but love what I do, and since we were allowed out have spent most of my time now living in Italy and France and traveling to such great places as Florence, Lucca, Aix in Provence, Nice and Paris to look for my accessory “One of a Kind Finds” - items my customer cannot find at home, so they can be the  first to wear them,  with new fashion trends and colors as they emerge, from Europe to the USA.

My love of Europe and fashion continues today and I will post constantly those new finds in limited quantities to ensure YOU have an exclusive piece that you won’t find anyone else wearing, and can rest assured you have a quality product at the best best price possible from Couture Cashmere and all our shawls, scarves, wraps, hats, purses, jackets, vests and even occasionally designer swimwear !

Spending time also in Nice, where fashion is a fabulous people watching event strolling along the seafront, gives me great inspiration and ideas, and also keeps me updates with color trends and what is in and what is our and who is wearing what ! It’s a great multicultural city full of young and old and I love seeing women “of a certain age|” who still love to strut their stuff and wear it all ! The weather also provides great inspiration with mediterranean blue seas and skies, and gorgeous foliage of blossoms each Spring and Fall making the city a carousel of color ! 
Nice’s famous Promenade des Anglais - the best people watching spot for fashion trends for both young and not so young  !
